A Day at the Beach
海灘一日遊
Matt and Debra are talking to each other on the phone.
M=Matt D=Debra
M: Hi, Debra. Do you want to come with me to the beach today? It’s the perfect weather for it.
D: Sure! I’d love to. Do you want me to bring my beach umbrella in case we want to sit in the shade?
M: That’s definitely a good idea. I’ll bring the suntan lotion, too. We don’t want to get sunburned while we’re there.
D: And how about your surfboard? I heard the waves are good for surfing today.
M: I think I’m going to pass on surfing. I hurt my leg last weekend playing volleyball.
D: OK. What about food? Do you want me to pack a picnic lunch for us?
M: Nah, since it’ll be windy, I don’t want sand to get blown all over our food. Why don’t we just grab a bite at that restaurant near the beach?
D: Sounds good to me. Hey, do you have a beach ball? It might be fun to toss that around in the water.
M: Sure, I’ll bring that too. And don’t forget your sunglasses.
D: Thanks. I won’t. I’m really glad we’re going to the beach today. I bought a new swimsuit last week and I’m looking forward to wearing it.
M: Splendid. I’ll prepare my backpack and pick you up in an hour.
麥特和黛柏拉在講電話。
麥特：嗨，黛柏拉。妳今天想跟我一起去海邊嗎？今天的天氣很適合去喔。
黛柏拉：好啊！我很樂意。你要我帶海灘傘嗎？說不定我們會想要坐在陰涼處。
麥特： 那當然是個好主意。我也會帶防曬乳。我們可不想在那裡時被曬傷。
黛柏拉：也帶著你的衝浪板如何？聽說今天的浪很適合衝浪。
麥特： 我想我就不衝浪了。我上週末打排球時腳受傷了。
黛柏拉：好吧。那食物呢？你要我打點我們兩人吃的野餐餐點嗎？
麥特： 不用，因為會有風，我可不想要沙子全都吹到我們食物上。我們何不在海灘附近那家餐廳吃點東西就好了？
黛柏拉：聽起來還不錯。欸，你有海灘球嗎？在水裡拋球可能會很好玩。
麥特： 好啊，我也會帶球。還有不要忘記帶太陽眼鏡。
黛柏拉：謝了。我不會忘記的。我很開心我們今天要去海邊。我上星期買了一件新的泳衣，我很期待能穿上它。
麥特： 太好了。我會把背包準備好，一小時後去接妳。
